I'm new to Move., what do I need to know?

Welcome! We are excited to meet you and share our passion for movement with you! Here are some things you may want to know:

  • Our classes are open to all levels of experience (with the exception of classes noted as “Advanced”). If you have prior injuries or other limitations, or are new to Pilates or fitness, we highly recommend starting with a private training. Please contact with questions.

  • Pre-registration is required for all classes. We are unable to accommodate drop-ins at this time.  You can create an account and register here; email us with questions. NOTE: Availability, schedule, and prices are subject to change without notice.

  • Please bring your own mat for all mat-based classes (Pilates, Yoga, Barre Fusion).

  • Leave your shoes and coats in the hall, please bring only what you need to with into the studio and place your items in the cubbies inside the door.

  • Please arrive only a few minutes prior to class start time. We do not have a large reception area so this helps avoid congestion in our shared hallway between classes.

  • You will be asked to sign a waiver prior to participating in your first session

  • We have 3 restrooms if you need to change before class, or freshen up after; please note we do not have a shower facility at this time.

I’ve never taken Pilates or yoga before; where should I start?

If you are interested in Pilates equipment classes, we strongly recommend starting with a private session. This will help you get familiar with the exercises and the equipment before joining a group class. We welcome all levels of experience to our yoga classes; modifications and options to advance certain postures will be provided.

How do I purchase and sign up for a class?

Move. uses Mindbody as our scheduling software. You will simply need to create a profile in the Mindbody system to purchase and schedule your classes.

What is your cancellation policy?

Due to our small class sizes and high demand, we kindly require and enforce 24- hours notice of cancellation for group class and private sessions. Cancellations can be made through our Mindbody scheduling system. Please note that the instructor is not responsible for scheduling or canceling for you - we kindly ask that you handle this aspect of your account to avoid confusion. Note: that cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will be charged as if you had attended class.

What do I wear to class?

Leave your worries and your shoes at the door (the studio is a ‘shoe free’ zone!). You may choose to remain barefoot for mat classes; grip socks (or similar foot coverings) are strongly recommended for equipment classes. Because you will be working in all planes of movement, we recommend form fitting clothing. This also allows the instructor to truly see your body to provide more detailed cues to help you refine your practice.
